Who is Thorn Springs
Thorn Springs Farm is a family-owned farm that specializes in registered Tarentaise Cattle and mostly grass-fed beef.
We give our cattle snacks. Just like you enjoy the occasional treat, our cattle get them too.
The cows at Thorn Springs Farm are fed a diet of grass and mineral to ensure their health and well-being.
We primarily graze our cattle and provide hay when the forage is limited. We provide free choice minerals year round. We do also offer our cows some snacks. Protein tubs balance out their diet when the forage and mineral doesn’t have the complete balance for them. We also offer some grain and cow treats when we want to catch them and on special occasions.
Thorn Springs Farm stands out for its commitment to sustainable agriculture and providing high-quality mostly grass-fed beef.
We use regenerative agricultural practices. We focus on rotational grazing practices to minimize our impacts and maximize our grazing potential. We are working with NRCS and the WV Conservation Agency to implement conservation practices.
